As kids get older it becomes readily apparent which ones have received good baseball instruction and which ones haven't. It goes beyond a natural ability to play the game. Through the high school level a kid with average athletic ability that has been taught the proper way to play the game will be a pretty decent baseball player. On the other hand, there are many kids with superior athletic talent that are not very good at baseball because they just haven't been developed. That's a real shame.
Baseball is a great sport for children. Playing a Little League baseball team gives children the opportunity to get exercise, be part of a team, make friends and build memories they will cherish for life. I'm an out of shape middle-aged man, but I still have fond memories of playing when I was a kid and still consider some of my team mates among my closest friends.
Like most sports, baseball is more enjoyable when the player is good at it. To keep children interested in baseball it is important that they learn how to play the game properly at a young age. The earlier you teach a child how to hit, catch, run and throw, the more likely he will be to stick with it.
The easiest way to teach a child how to play the game is through a series of easy to understand drills. I will use this website to help you find the youth baseball drills that with practice will help your children become better, more confident players. Good luck.
